Welcome to Stockton East Water District!

The Stockton East Water District (SEWD) provides surface water for both agricultural and urban uses. By providing surface water for agricultural irrigation, the District supports San Joaquin County’s agricultural industry, which is the area’s leading economic activity.

Farmington Dam Project

To tackle groundwater depletion & saltwater intrusion in Eastern San Joaquin, the Farmington Dam project plans to raise the dam to boost water storage, flood control, and aquifer recharge.

The Bellota Project

The Bellota Project is the flagship project of the Calaveras River Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and crucial to securing the District’s New Hogan Reservoir surface water supplies.

Groundwater Outreach

At SEWD, we are committed to ensuring a sustainable water future for our community. Groundwater is a vital resource that supports our homes, farms, and local ecosystems.
